Virtual Sets
Virtual sets are commonly perceived as an elaborate and expensive filming solution. But due to the in-house technology and methods here at Finishing Post, 'virtual' filming is often a lower-cost alternative to filming in a real set.
Our spacious and broadcast-compliant sound stage is located on the premises and is permanently equipped for blue screen and green screen shooting. We can supply both the camera tracking system and advice to help make your location Ultimatte shoot or virtual set as convincing as possible.
We can shoot actors and presenters with a single camera for sophisticated 'film style' productions, and even create the illusion of a big-budget multi-camera event. A virtual set eliminates the need to pay costly storage fees for a set you would like to re-use at a later date, and it can be easily customised for each production. And although an outline concept of the virtual studio design is required at the shooting stage, it's not necessary for the full design to be completed. This enables set design and shooting to be carried out concurrently.
